
TOKYO, January 25, 2010 - JTB Traveland and C3DESIGN (now direct2one) have received the Grand Prize, the highest commendation in the 24th All-Japan Direct Mail Awards, sponsored by Japan Post.
The relevant direct marketing campaign targeting baby-boombers was created by C3 and exceeded expectations by compelling 23% of recipients to visit JTB Traveland stores with 87% of these visitors purchasing travel packages. Additionally, incremental spend for these customers was increased by 30%.
"The idea for the campaign is both fun and effective," said C3's Creative Director, Todd Crosland. "Postcards were created that included images and messages from locations that were recommended to each prospect, our designer, Satako Shimizu and copy writer Mikuki Ogawa did an exceptional job creating a communication that gets attention and generates prospect response."
The 2010 All Japan DM Awards marks the second time C3 has created an award winning DM program. In 2009, C3 received a Silver Medal for it's "Mars" lead generation program for Singapore's Fuji Xerox.
The All Japan Direct Mail Awards are presented for outstanding direct marketing campaigns produced in the previous year in Japan. For the 2010 event, the 611 entries were judged on criteria including, strategic value, creativity and effectiveness. Each year's best campaign is awarded the Grand Prix.
